CONDITIONS OF ENGAGEMENT
1.0 Office Hours
Our Office is open from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm from Monday to Friday.
2.0 Fees
Reports
Our fees in the preparation of a survey report will be between £300.00
plus VAT
Our fees on an ongoing dispute or matter which can not be provided
with a fixed quote is based on the following
Qualified Member of the RICS
£125.00 per hour .
Part Qualified Member
£80.00 per hour
Secretarial Staff
£30.00 per house
Letters
Our charges for letters are as follows
Routine Letters £13.00 each
Routing Letters in £6.75 each
Routing Telephone Calls £13.00 each
3.0 Payment on Account
We will invoice you every month based
on the number of hours completed on our file.
We do not operate a clients account and therefore
monies can not be held on account.
4.0 Response to Correspondence
We will endeavour to return to all correspondence within 7 working
days however if there is a delay we will always try to inform you.
5.0 Meetings
Where possible we will allow meetings however this may not be possible
in all cases. Meetings arranged in our offices are preferred unless
site meetings are required.
6.0 Our Instructions
The instructions which have been accepted by this company
are clearly detailed within the cover letter which should have been
received with this letter, If for any reason you do no have this
letter please contact the office for clarification and a copy will
be sent. You may also write to the office with you full instructions.
7.0 Use of Experts and Subcontractors.
In certain instances we will require the need to employ
subcontractors on your behalf. If that is required we will usually
let you know in writing asking for your acceptance and enclose details
of the costs for employing these contractors.
In all instances the contractors will accept instruction
from this office on your behalf, however the payment of their costs
will be the responsibility of you directly.
We do not hold clients money so it will be usual
to request for a cheque made payable to the Subcontractor directly.
8.0 Disputes and Complaints and Professional
Indemnity.
Langleys Chartered Surveyors operates a complaints handling procedure
in accordance with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
minimum requirements. A copy of this procedure will be provided
at your request and includes a separate review and Arbitration Procedure.
Langleys Chartered Surveyors is insured in accordance
with the RICS minimum requirements.
